Ya se que voy una semana tarde, pero mejor tarde que nunca ¿verdad?

Si me gustase cocinar, seguro que ésta sería mi estancia favorita. La cocina es la habitación que más difícil resulta decorar y la que menos posibilidades de cambio nos ofrece una vez instalada. Pero como soñar es gratis, vamos a imaginar nuestra cocina ideal.

I know that I’m a week late, but better late than never, right?

If I liked to cook, sure that this would be my favorite room. The kitchen is the most difficult room to decorate and it is less likely to change once installed. But since dreaming is free, let’s imagine our dream kitchen.

Tasty and spicy kitchen

  1. Esta cocina de color berenjena, es muy femenina, perfecta para alguien que le guste tener cada cosa en su sitio. No os perdáis la colección de tacitas de té.
  2. Cuando la ví me pareció tan limpia, funcional, con el toque justo de diseño,… Esta cocina es el lugar perfecto para hacer una rica cena.
  3. Muchísima luz natural y espacio para que 2-3 personas disfruten de la preparación de una fiesta. Es desenfada y sin pretensiones.
  4. Una cocina blanca y natural, donde las cosas varian de lugar sin parecer desordenada. ¿Qué tal si horneamos unas magdalenas? ;)

  2. When I saw it seemed so clean, functional, with just the right touch of design,… This kitchen is the perfect place for a delicious dinner.

Es un hecho que viviendo en ciudades, perdemos contacto con la naturaleza. Por eso cada vez que salgo fuera, disfruto de ella como una niña pequeña, mirando todo con ojos curiosos y maravillándome de lo hermosa que es y de lo bien que me hace sentir: en paz conmigo y con el mundo.

Por eso, es bueno aprovechar lo que la naturaleza nos da e incorporarlo a nuestro entorno, para llevarnos esas sensaciones a casa. No os perdáis este sencillo perchero creado por Annalena.

Por cierto, siento la falta del post “Dream house” de esta semana, me ha faltado tiempo. La próxima sin falta.

It’s a fact that lwe lose touch with nature living in cities. So every time I go out, I enjoy it as a little girl, looking around with curious eyes and marveling at how beautiful it is and how good makes me feel: at peace with myself and the world.

Therefore, it is good to take what nature gives us and incorporate it into our environment, to bring those feelings home. Do not miss this simple hanger created by Annalena.

By the way, I’m sorry for the lack of “Dream house” post this week, I haven’t had time. I’ll posted it next week without fail.

{ Shop } The natural Seahag & Walrus

¿Qué tal esas fiestas? Seguro que bien. A mi aquí me tenéis con las pilas cargadas para una semana llena de inspiración. ¿A ver que tenemos por aquí? Ahhh, sí…

Jenny Blaine, natural de Portland (Oregon), es la diseñadora detrás de estas piezas tan originales. Bajo la marca Seahag & Walrus, crea pequeñas parcelas de césped, plumas, flechas,… complementos inspirados en la naturaleza que nos rodea, que seguro dan que hablar.

How have you been on holidays? I’m sure you have a good time. Here I am full of energy, for a week filled with inspiration. What do I have here? Ohhh, yes…

Jenny Blaine, a native of Portland (Oregon), is the designer behind these original pieces. Under the brand Seahag & Walrus, she creates small plots of grass, feathers, arrows,… accessories inspired by nature, sure they make people talk.

{ Dream house } Enjoy the living room

Esta semana quiero que elijamos el salón de la “casa de nuestros sueños”. ¿Listos?

Ha sido realmente difícil elegir sólo 4 salones, de entre todos los que he visto, pero creo que por fin he dado con la selección perfecta:

This week I want you to choose the living room of our “dream house”. Are you ready?

It was really hard to choose just 4 living rooms, from all I’ve seen, but I’ve finally found the perfect selection:

Oh! My living room

  1. Este salón reutiliza tapetes, muebles antiguos, cuadros y guirnaldas, todo ello de forma casual y desenfadada.
  2. De estilo algo retro y clásico, todo en esta habitación tiene su lugar (por cierto, estoy enamorada de ese sofa, es lo más bonito que he visto nunca).
  3. Teniendo como pieza principal esa silla amarilla de Charles Eames, el resto de elementos fluyen de forma orgánica a su alrededor.
  4. Con esos increíbles ventanales y unos tonos pálidos, esta habitación es el lugar perfecto para una tarde de lectura. Quien pudiera disfrutar de tantas plantas en casa. :)

  1. This room reused mats, antique furniture, paintings and garlands, all in a casual and carefree way.
  2. Retro and classic style, all in this room has its place (by the way, I’m in love with this couch, it is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen).
  3. The Charles Eames yellow chair is the main piece of this room and the remaining elements flow organically around it.
  4. This room is the perfect place for an afternoon reading, with these amazing windows and pale tones. Who could enjoy many plants at home. :)

iPad I want you so badly!

Si si, ya se que es muy caro (desde 479€) y ¿realmente le voy a sacar partido? Pero es que cuando veáis lo que tengo que enseñaros, también vais a quererlo.

El equipo de Martha Stewart, la guru del “handmade” en USA, ha creado un número especial para la revista Living, en la que rompe con la interacción tradicional y nos lleva más allá.

Mejor lo veis por vosotros mismos, porque por más que trate de explicarlo, una imagen vale más que mil palabras, ¿verdad? :)

Una pequeña nota para compartir con vosotros esta canción triste y melancólica.

Me hace pensar en lo fuertes que somos cada uno de nosotros, en lo que somos capaces de crear de la nada, y que aunque haya momentos en la vida que no lo creamos, que todo parece imposible y que sin ayuda no podremos salir adelante… Os aseguro que dentro, existe algo que te hace salir de los peores momentos y te hace disfrutar de la vida como el primer día.

It makes me think that we are very strong, that we are able to create things from nothing, and although there are moments in life that we feel that we can’t, that everything seems impossible and that we can’t succeed without help… I assure you that inside of us, there is something that makes you get out of the worst moments and makes you enjoy life like the first day.
