I think it has become clear where I’ve gone on vacation this summer, right?. It was a trip I had long wanted to do and I think everyone should go at least once in their life.

I’ll break this post into two: one in which I will talk about my impressions of the city and another in which I will talk about some shops and neighborhoods I visited that they have to do with the blog.

New York is a city we know through many movies and that made me travel with preconceived ideas about people, cuisine, neighborhoods… But when you’re there, face to face with new yorkers and enjoying every corner, all seem so real and intense.

I hope you have enjoyed this brief overview, it is a trip that I will never forget.

Where have you gone on vacation?

Summer is ending and here I am again full of energy.

The truth is that this has been a summer with many changes. I went to live with my boyfriend, so you can imagine the mess of packing, unpacking, sell the furniture that do not fit, redecorate the new apartment to make space for “my stuff” and now we live with 3 cats… what an odyssey. :)

On the other hand, we made an amazing journey, but I will tell you in detail on monday.

Also this year the blog will experience changes (for better) and maybe I will start writing on other blogs.

Do you want to learn a new recipe today? This is a simple apple galette. You can see in this video how Rachel always gets cooking look so easy and fun.

Now we begin to think about what messy it is to start cooking. We have the habit of buying everything already done. But we know that the food prepared is usually less healthy, because they often carry preservatives, dyes and other chemicals for the food to last. In addition, the taste is not the same as food cooked at home.

Last night, I made my own pizza, in which just missed making the dough myself, another day will be. It had tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, shredded fresh tomatoes, corn and ham. It just took me 10 minutes and the result was delicious.

So there’s no excuse not to try cooking this sweet galette, my only complaint is that I’ll have to find an alternative to the apples, damn allergies :P

As the spanish saying goes: “spring makes your blood goes crazy”. I am one of those people that when this season comes, I have to take vitamin supplements not to run out of inner strength. And besides that, I try to have a more balanced and light diet.

So today I want to share with you these two delicious recipes: Potato and rosemary pizza and Asparagus risotto. They are easy to make and if you see the pictures, sure it makes you salivate.

Tomorrow we celebrate the Earth Hour, organized by WWF. This global initiative is to make people aware of the imminent climate change, which affects us all and it will particularly affect our future generations.

Events like those in Japan make us realize how small we are and that there are many things we can not control.

Our commitment must be for more natural energy and a responsible use of all resources. You must use and buy only what you truly need.

Tomorrow from 20:30 to 21:30, turn off all lights and claim your commitment to this planet. :)

Do you remember when you were going to see a puppet show? You laughed and enjoyed the stories without stopping to think about the people behind, how they make everything come alive. Today was a long day. It’s one of those days that you feel you need to finish all the tasks as soon as possible, and then go to bed, enjoy some music, warm yourself with a blanket and relax the tensions of the day. I’m writing from my bed, nestled between the blankets and a hot bag between my feets.

Some things in this world left me speechless. Despite all the bad things that are in it, there is still a lot of people with an increible imagination and amazing creativity, people like Ai Weiwen, who create a instalation where he placed 100 million handmade sunflower of ceramic, so that people could walk on them, touch them, observe and meditate… How is someone been able to create something like this?
